Incoming IB analyst thinking about on-cycle. I was wondering how useful it is to try networking with people at the fund that I wish to go into - heard that HHs usually set you up with coffee chats before the actual interviews kick in. My guess would be that it would be useful to a certain extent, but not exactly the defining factor as is the case for IB recruiting. If anyone can provide any color on this, would appreciate it!
