New York International Capital (NYIC)

Anyone know is it legal? Is the global cloud investment banking analyst a scam? All staffs seem to be interns and no physical address exist. The sec report proving its validity is quite vague too. I am not sure if it is a newly-founded real ibank and recruit many off-site intern for saving cost, or it is actually a scam and trying to take the sensitive information? Please help!!

I didn't myself, but I go to one of NYC's two targets and unfortunately, I know of some underclassmen at my schools who fell for it. Basically, they don't do much, work remotely and unpaid, and hope that they can benefit from having an "IB internship" on their resume for recruiting, which may massively backfire if their interviewer takes even the slightest look at the firm.

As for my experience with it, I applied, got the shadiest "offer" by email, and was ultimately deterred by their website and the fact that the "company" itself feels the need to post on WSO to defend its legitimacy.

Yes, avoid at all cost. A good first indicator is the website which seemed to having been set up in 30 min but a hungover student.
