Offer Help - Capital markets offer
I have offers from Citi Capital Markets (NYC), Citi IBD (Houston), and RBS IBD (Stamford), I have about a week to decided on an offer. Just curious if I can get people's thoughts on these different firms/locations. My goal is to do banking in New York... my thought is maybe Houston IBD might be better, but I'm not sure if they will give me time to recruit in the fall if I get an offer back... how easy would it be to lateral from Capital Markets to IBD if I take the Capital Markets offer?
Gut feeling is Citi IBD in Houston, although I'm not as knowledgeable as others on this board.
Citi IBD Houston> Citi CM NYC>RBS IBD
Went to RBS Superday. All they did was try to downplay the commute their analyst took everyday from the city.
Citi IBD. It's not even the location of Stamford (which sucks), RBS is just very weak now.

Thanks guys, my only concern with Citi Houston IBD is that I might not have time to shop around for offers in NYC, they made it sound like I'm signing on for 2 years at least. I really want to be in NYC for full-time, can anyone comment on the lateral from Capital Markets in IBD?
Hard to do, do a search. It's possible after 2 years but don't try moving after a year, all BB's have strict 2 year contracts and disapprove of this.
