Perspective - Insane placements at ND Mendoza

My bros a current freshman at ND, and he told me to check this out today:

I currently attend another midwest target (UChicago/Northwestern) and was blown away by the placements at ND. multiple BX PE SA/BX M&A in recent years, and consistent top groups across GS/MS/JPM. LGP out of undergrad. As well as the standard BB firms.

Has this always been this way? I've always read on WSO that ND was a semi-target. Otherwise I would've went to ND myself. I think this goes on to show that everyone should take WSO's advice with a grain of salt and do some dd on their own. Pretty excited for my bro when he hits recruiting.

ND is definitely a target in Chicago, probably somewhat less so in NYC, but still, strong connections exist.

Compared to NW/UofC, I think you'll find more kids from ND that are interested in (corporate) finance and banking, given the undergrad business program. On the other hand, NW and UChicago have heavier weightings toward consulting and prop trading.
