Platform Customer Support at Ratings Agency to IB Analyst Role?

Hi Everyone, Wanted to get some advice regarding the possibility of making a career shift from a customer support role at a Ratings Agency to an IB role. I’ve been interacting with many clients at different types of firms, whether its IB/AM/HF/PE/Consulting/Professional Services, helping them accomplish their info needs through the company’s platform (think customer support for Thompson Reuters or Bloomberg terminal) and always been attracted to IB (who isn’t?). Gained a lot of proficiency on platforms a lot of IB firms use religiously day to day.

Little bit about me - recent finance grad + absolutely abysmal u-grad GPA (mid two) from a non-target. Currently on CFA track + inhaling Rosenbaum/Pearl + working on modeling on the side + networking my ass off. This is my first corporate job out of college.

Fully understand my situation is far from ideal, but working double time to try and make it happen. Also understand that post-MBA I would have the best chances, but don’t know if that’s a possibility even with a super high GMAT (given my GPA).

Any and all advice would be majorly appreciated, thank you all in advance.
