Everyone always comments on the handle...I made it that because a while back I asked my first question on lev fin at gs.

I do research, I'm asking for more knowledgeable opinions tho, that's why im here.

In the U.S., it's definitely one of the more entrepreneurial big banks (at least as entrepreneurial as a big bank can be). The hierarchy is pretty flat in the sense that just because you're junior doesn't mean that MDs won't ask you for ideas and thoughts, and actually respect what you say. Also the fact that they were pretty much untouched by the financial crisis and really expanded aggressively post-crisis has positioned them well for the next few years. Finally, they pay pretty well.

If in Canada, they're number one so why wouldn't you want to work for them?

They throw a pretty sick industrials conference in Vegas every year in early September... completely ridic... conference by day, bottle service at Hyde by night.

Also, I'd say they punch above their weight on research. Their homebuilding/building products analyst has been the single most accurate predictor of housing mkt trends over the past two years. He's been Street low on housing starts forecasts and has consistently been right.
