PNC Lateral Hiring

Does anyone know if PNC capital markets or commercial & corporate banking is currently looking for lateral hires?

I graduated college in May from a semi target and am currently looking to get out of a bad work environment. I’m interested in both but would prefer the commercial & corporate banking development program roles.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, there isn't a specific mention of PNC's current hiring status for lateral positions in capital markets or commercial & corporate banking. However, it's common for banks to have ongoing needs for talented individuals, especially those coming from semi-target schools and looking to move into development program roles.

Here's what you can do to increase your chances of landing a lateral position at PNC:

  1. Networking: Reach out to current employees at PNC, especially those within the capital markets or commercial & corporate banking divisions. LinkedIn can be a great tool for this. Try to set up informational interviews to learn more about the bank and express your interest.

  2. PNC Careers Page: Keep an eye on the PNC careers page for the latest job postings. They often list new opportunities, and you can set up alerts for specific roles or divisions.

  3. Recruiters: Get in touch with recruiters who specialize in the banking industry. They can provide insights into hiring trends and may know if PNC is looking for lateral hires.

  4. WSO Job Board: Check the Wall Street Oasis job board regularly, as new positions are posted there, and you might find relevant openings at PNC or similar institutions.

Remember, persistence and networking are key in the job search process, especially for lateral moves. Keep building relationships and demonstrating your interest and capabilities. Good luck!
