Possible Layoffs on the Horizon?

Guys -

With all the news of very down quarters, diminished deal-flows, and possible layoffs around the corner -- does anyone already working know what we should expect?

For those of us joining as first-years next September... what are some ways to hedge ourselves if we get laid-off?

nah man that is bs deal flow will be fine b/c companies have a shit load of cash and nothing to do with it , fixed income trading will be all fked up though i would save every penny if I were you and try to keep in touch with professors incase you need to do a masters of finance

I don't know if people are getting fired but hiring is definitely not great this year.

Hiring hasn't been great for the past 3 years, it's not something that changes overnight
