nah man that is bs deal flow will be fine b/c companies have a shit load of cash and nothing to do with it , fixed income trading will be all fked up though i would save every penny if I were you and try to keep in touch with professors incase you need to do a masters of finance
Just save up your money, don't engage in conspicuous consumption and all will be great.
Also, start thinking of ideas to start your own business

I don't know if people are getting fired but hiring is definitely not great this year.
Hiring hasn't been great for the past 3 years, it's not something that changes overnight
