PowerPoint: Custom Shapes and Objects for Investment Banking

Hello there!

Through the years, I've noticed that most pitch books and other powerpoint presentations created in Investment Banking do include a "standard" set of shapes/objects, should they be arrows, circles, boxes, etc.

I currently work in a M&A boutique and was wondering if in BB banks people use custom add-ins for PPT to insert those shapes and graphics, if there are any "packages" available that are commonly used in the industry etc. and if so, where I can find them.

I know this is a very operational/technical question related to building presentations, but since I'm kind totally unaware of large IB methods and practices, I'd like to hear more from you guys.

Thank you!

I don't work in banking, so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. Also, I do not use or know of any add-ins for such.

Though, to avoid any future issues, I'd suggest paying someone to make you a set of custom shapes / templates / colors solely for your use. I suggest this mainly for consistency across different projects, having a unique look / flow to your firms work, and obvious legal reasons. If you feel inclined, take the time to produce some on your own. There are plenty of tutorials online for creating what you're looking for.
