Predicting Future Capital Expenditure

Hi,

Say you know how much a companies profits will grow by over the next 8 years. How would you go about predicting future capital expenditures for that company.

Look at historicals, how did capex evolve? Profit growth is useless. Revenue growth and depreciation are more intuitive when in comes to forecast capex.

Even then, rev growth might not be a good proxy depending on the business model. Have a look on AR or other presentations, they might describe their future capex plans in detail.
