Project Finance compensation

Hello monkeys,

Quick question that may sound stupid but I'm kind of puzzled. I'm applying to a big bank in Project Finance in the US (New York) and they are asking me my base salary desired. As a european, I'm not used to be asked this question and I don't know the kind of compensation I can expect (given the bank, department and location)

I tried to find some info online but I got anywhere from 45k to 100k so it doesn't help me much and the bank is not part of the compensation survey of WSO.
So, what kind of salary can I expect and indicate in my application ?

Thanks a buch

It's part of IB, so market rate would dictate $70k-85k. If it's an IB program it'll likely be 70k or 85k exactly depending on if the bank followed the industry and raised base salary.
