Put SA on resume or not?

Hi everyone,

I landed a SA position with a BB a couple of months back and would like to apply to a few off-cycles (post-SA) in case I don't get a return offer. Would it be OK to list my summer internship when applying to off-cycles (no description, just the dates and position)?

You can't list something that you didn't do on your resume. As Sil said, you list past accomplishments. Putting that on your resume is, dare I say, worse than "Incoming Investment Banking Summer Analyst" on LinkedIn

"Can I put prospective Goldman Sachs TMT, MD (2023 - ) on my CV?"

That's definitely not at all comparable. He's contractually locked into a summer analyst program and is guaranteed the experience that comes with it barring extraneous circumstances.

OP, I'm in undergrad so I can't honestly tell you what the correct protocol is. On one hand, I think you would be doing yourself a huge disservice by not including it. I would think that guaranteed relevant experience prior to another potential future internship is worthy of being disclosed. On the other, it could be seen as an improper practice. That's my take.
