Deals is pretty different from IB, just ask any banker. It tends to have a really fluid role anywhere on the deal pipeline from origination to post-closure (no more than a year after). PwC is strong in every major domestic city, but the biggest office is obviously NYC. A lot of the activity is based finance industry, but you can really do whatever you want. The good thing about consulting is the fluidity in project distribution.

Work is very different from banking. If that's what you want to do, I would look at the MM IB shop at PwC (called Corporate Finance). Exit opportunities are still solid.
