PWP FIG (NYC)
Does anyone have any info on PWP's FIG (culture, interview process, etc.)? Just wanna best prepare for an upcoming interview.

Former FIG banker at a BB here. Can't speak much about the recruiting process besides first rounds being done by Dartmouth Partners (be prepared for telling them a specific Why PWP/FIG story, mental math, talking about a PWP deal - if you need one Cowen/TD is a great one to talk about - in addition to regular and FIG-specific technicals), but can speak more to culture and deal flow. PWP FIG is amazing in the insurance/insurtech and brokerage space. Also should note that PWP's FinTech deals are run out of the separate FinTech group. Culture is good for a fintech group - personalities are relatively chill and heard that hours are reasonable by banking standards.

Small but strong group. They hit Insurance and InsurTech out of the park and are pretty strong within brokerage as well. Culture is relatively good and relaxed for a FIG group.
Overrated. Was good (but not top 3) in insurtech but the space is small and dead over the last 18months and unlikely to pick up significantly. Brokerage space is average and like other EB they don’t really cover traditional insurance space due to lack of BS. Small team but good culture and WLB though
