MetalJackI thought you were looking at Lev. Fin?

i thought so too, but apparently it's a M&A group within the Lev Fin group. It sounds like a good opportunity, the head of this group apparently ran JPM's middle market banking practice for 10 years. it sounds like a good opportunity for a growth group, I am just trying to see if anyone has more information.

sorry mate but M&A within Lev fin makes no sense. banking organizations are different but this sounds implausible. Aside, wouldn't expect RBS to have a credible M&A practice...

I mean they may not have such a big practice now, but I suppose trying to organically grow one is noble enough.

It will certainly be a step up for me (currently in middle market m&a in a non-new york bank).

what do you guys think?

yeah i know about the atmosphere, and the guy sounded really nice on the phone today. however, i am worried about dealflow...

hopefully someone can comment on this.
