Re-take GMAT to recruit for IB
I worked 4 years in M&A advisory prior to b-school, I'm a 1st year at a top 20 non-target MBA, finance club leadership role, good grades, and I'm looking to get a summer associate internship at an IB. I have connected with numerous banks and many have been very receptive to my desire to do an internship over the summer at their bank. I have had several interviews and informational interviews in the last 4 months. I've been selected to attend recruiting events at many of the BBs.
Thus far everything is going well, for a guy who's not at a target school. However, a burning question in the back of my head is, when are they going to ask me what my gmat score is? No sugar coating it, I have a crap GMAT score. Low 600s. Q&V were within a couple points of each other. I'm sure if I actually studied and wasn't working 90+ hrs a week trying to close deals, I would have a substantially higher score. I still have a few weeks prior to internship recruiting season to start up.
At what point do banks ask for your GMAT? (Some have asked for my GMAT during the application process; I'm guessing that's for screening.)
Do internship interviewers ask what my GMAT score is? Or is this only asked during the application process for screening?
Am I going to get all the way to a super day, answer everything right and then an MD asks for my GMAT I get cut?
