So I was doing my hirevue for a BB in a conference room at my current job because there is literally no where else I can possibly go to quietly do a hirevue. I am working in NYC so everywhere is noisy and my apartment is a small piece of crap. Midway through one of the questions, the receptionist interrupts me and asks, "Hi (my name), are you supposed to be in this room?" I literally cannot believe that a fucking receptionist is the reason that my chances for this BB are screwed.

You decided to take your HireVue in a public space that people frequently go in and out of, and didn't prepare for the possibility of someone interrupting you?
And why exactly couldn't you do it at your apartment? Having a small apartment isn't going to ding you in a HireVue...

Did you reserve the conference room? I'm sure if you talked to the receptionist in advance to book a room, they would be super willing to help (receptionists are generally super nice). I always do my HireVues from my internship but make sure to reserve somewhere where I won't be disturbed.
