Recruiting for SA 2025 after securing an offer for SA 2024

Hey everyone, very fortunate to have secured an offer for 2024 SA, but as you know 2025 SA dropped so it's back to applications. I've been reaching out and applying, but thought to myself if I'm putting myself at risk by doing this? Of course this sounds outlandish, but what if the firms I'm networking see the "incoming intern" on my resume and communicate that to my incoming firm. Has something like this ever happy to anyone? Would appreciate any recs to tread this process safely!

my guess is it might be kinda sus. maybe find a small lowkey boutique for spring and put that on ur rez instead - recruit for 2025, sign and then chill with both offers… reneg on 2025 if u get return for 2024 (assuming it’s EB/BB and 2025 is MM) no reason to reneg on 2025 if 2024 is lower tier - just my two cents

or u can reach out to 2024 firm and say hey can i do an interview for 2025? doesn’t hurt to ask IG.

Highly doubt it’s sus bc a lot of ppl do sophomore IB internships anyway and switch firms for the following year, and it’s not like you have signed with a different firm for the next year and the 2024 firm found out. You’re just networking at this point.

not true, in offer letter you explicity state that ur avail for 2025 for most soph summers
