I'm currently working at a Seniors Housing (REIT) where I'm directly responsible for financial underwriting for acquisitions and financial and operational due diligence.
Background:
CFA level III Candidate Masters of Finance from Queens University (Mainly to have access to recruitment)
My masters will end next year 2018 while I accumulate my experience in a corporate development/acquisitions role. My end goal is to have an IB associate position or in P/E in a real estate group.
With my current background is this possible? or has it been done or is it a rare transition?
Any advise on how to accomplish is much appreciated.
