Reneging for FT offer?
For context, I'm returning FT to GS/MS/JPM. Although SA was tiring, I actually enjoyed the experience, and my group has historically done very well on-cycle. However, I was also able to get a FT offer to a well-known, large SM located in SF on their L/S team. L/S has always been my preferred exit from 2+2 but A) I don't want to renege and B) not sure about living in SF (gf/family are in NYC). Thoughts?
Personally I’d do banking first. Developing some fundamental business/finance skills to fall back on if you end up not being cut out for HF. Also SF is ass
Do it. I’m someone that always reccomends you do something that your passionate about. You’re young and take a shot and don’t look back. I wouldn’t worry about reneging, at the end of the day you are just a number to the firm: very replaceable.
