Results of Canadian placements to the US SA 2027

Given all the buzz around the US cutting off pipelines to Ivey/Queens, etc., I'm curious how things actually materialized. Were top clubs still able to place people in the end, or were they truly forced to focus internally on Canada? Feel free to chime in with any insights/knowledge of which firms were able to be recruited for successfully.

What is it about Canadians that are so hardo. You will very rarely see a “How did SEC schools fair in NY recruiting” or a “How did Italians do in London recruiting” thread. It seems like every Canadian memorized what high school sport each incoming SA at EVR played.

What do you expect? It’s a function of much more competitive recruiting due to limited seats and capital markets activity overall + limited alternatives to IB for those chasing higher comp as tech pays materially less. The number of new Canadian AN1s is literally a countable quantity, so they get hyper scrutinized by desperate prospects looking for the smallest explanatory variable possible to go copy

Quite literally remember reading comments in an American thread discussing how shitty non-target American schools like Rice, Colgate etc placed in NY this year, not too sure what you're on about

Queen's had 1 Q this year. Also judging from your comment history you are either the biggest larper/the most uninformed person on this thread

In all seriousness, how do you go to the states w/o QUIC, WIC, Nepo or DEI?

You don't

What if you network really hard and you have people (junior/seniors) pushing for you, is it still not possible?

You go to Big 5 in Toronto

Lol happily but even that's pretty hard now if you're not DEI/nepo
