RE:Taking up offer to network + leaving later

Hi,

I'm wondering what people's thoughts are on taking a BB apprenticeship (Back or Middle Office) below degree level (temporarily can network with industry professionals, can also get good experience on CV at big name firm), leaving once completed and going to university and going through that route to break into IB.

Do you think it's a waste of time due to Back/Middle Office role on CV, or the fact I'll be working with professionals (and getting to know people in industry) worth it?

Open to hearing everyone's opinions (and respective reasoning).
