Big culling in the LA office, first years were given offers to NYC. Sad to see it but banking in LA is dying.

Zero reason to be in LA, you can back justify it all you want
The LA team was very finicky, dependent on one dude basically. Sad but not shocking. On the bright side, for the juniors who get to move, NYC is a much better office, and you are certainly significantly safer from layoffs. Barclays SF is operating at half capacity, too, given how many senior bankers have been lost.
