So people that just hit the desk and signed a lease in LA have to move ASAP?

 

Wtf happened? Seems so abrupt for them to shut down the office..

 

The LA team was very finicky, dependent on one dude basically. Sad but not shocking. On the bright side, for the juniors who get to move, NYC is a much better office, and you are certainly significantly safer from layoffs. Barclays SF is operating at half capacity, too, given how many senior bankers have been lost.
