Rothschild M&A vs Restructuring (NYC)

I was curious which group is more highly regarded in the NY office and which allows for better exit ops for PE? Why choose one over the other (obviously personal preference but would love to hear some opinions)?

I think the RX is team is more highly regarded but the exits aren't going to be comparable - M&A more likely to exit into traditional funds and RX into distressed funds.

Best Response

I worked there from 2002-2004 in the RX group, so I may be biased, but it is well respected and typically has stronger deal flow than M&A (in NYC). I personally made it to PE and I know a few others did as well (if you make a good impression to the right recruiters, you can get interviews... see the WSO Company Database for a list of recruiters)

Best of luck, Patrick
