RX Deal Experience - Walk Me Through It

Just completed my first chapter 11 restructuring deal at my boutique after working almost exclusively on M&A and am wanting to put it on my resume.

For those of you who have done RX deals, how did you articulate it on your resume?

What do you say / what points and details do you cover when you're asked to walk through an RX deal?

(other than the client, deal size, reason for filing, my specific role in the transaction and outcome)

A bit of a cheat code, but you can load up a few relevant paragraphs from FDM and DS into ChatGPT and ask for summary bullets. Then tweak accordingly.

Back in my day, we actually had to summarize them manually. (Joking aside, a bunch of stuff is so well documented in Ch11 that you could actually just take snippets from FDM (events leading to distress) and the DS (summary of txn) and sprinkle in whatever you want to highlight for your experience)

Here is how I structured my resume when lateralling between Rx shops as a FT hire.Under "Profiled Transaction Experience" (or similar section on your resume), would organize like this:Bankrupt Company name (you can disclose client as chapter 11s are public filings) Advisors to the [debtor (management), lenders, Unsecured Creditors Committee] - [$xx] amount in prepetition liabilities 2-3 bullet points on key roles. Ideally, this spans the length of the bankruptcy, from FD declaration responsibilities, all the way to attestation of the POR. Key skills sought in this is: creation/sensitization of a waterfall model, business plan review, investigations reports, DIP sizings, etc. Outcome of transaction: [ Xyz's] involvement helped secure a [xx.x%] recovery for [CLIENT] (opposed to [xx.x]% initially proposed recovery for [ ] in [Initial RSA documents, etc.]). Feel free to PM me if any Qs
