Second thoughts!

Hey guys!

Currently studying at one of the West Coast schools. Interned in Credit Suisse this summer at the Consumer & Retail coverage group and received a full-time offer (from UBS). Wondering if I should recruit again, possibly at another bank? How has the situation evolved over the past 6 months at UBS+CS C&R? I heard they added a few MDs from Barclays. I really liked the group culture and team members during the internship tho.

More generally which are the top-5 C&R groups? How would you rank UBS+CS C&R?

Hey there!

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems like there's been a bit of a shakeup at CS. Some groups are fizzling out and not hiring any more full-timers, with seniors jumping ship and encouraging analysts to look elsewhere. However, it's not all doom and gloom. UBS has shown a favorable stance towards US advisory and they've kept a significant number of key seniors.

As for the ranking of UBS+CS C&R, it's a bit tricky to say. The landscape is always changing and it can depend on a variety of factors. However, based on the WSO Dataset, the top groups at any bank will get great looks at MM and some MFs.

In terms of whether you should recruit again, that's a personal decision. If you liked the group culture and team members during your internship, those are important factors to consider. Remember, the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Hope this helps and best of luck with your decision!
