Seeking NYC Summer Housing Advice
Hi y’all,
I’m from a southern state and heading into NYC for the second time (first time was superday) for an internship at a boutique IB. The firm pays the typical prorate, and I’m the type of guy that really needs to get my sleep so long commute probably don’t work, but also don’t want to be spending a ton on housing. The bank is in mid-town Manhattan. What are some of the cheapest apartments reasonably nearby? I don’t mind ghetto, just need to be safe enough so 1. I don’t get jumped at 2am and 2. My car will be safe if I park it right. Thanks.
You should look at CUNY Hunter College Brookdale Campus which is a 20 minute walk to Midtown. They offer dorms that are pretty cheap ~ 800 bucks a month. It’s not great but it’s cheap and is in a good area.
Leave the car at college for the summer. Parking is very expensive in NYC
NYU, don’t take a car
