Sell side experience
I've noticed that, for a large amount of research associate/investment associate jobs, you need some experience (in finance). I was wondering what people do, to accrue relevant experience.
Would someone working as a portfolio management associate (back officey but somewhat relevant) be able to transition, or are there other ways to get sell side experience (in order to break into ER) or are there other sell side positions that are easier to get into and can help you transition to buyside?
