Semi-Target Success Story

It’s not a secret. There’s hardly a better feeling than landing an offer with an EB/BB in New York after two years of sacrificing socials, grinding in school, and networking your ass off. The grind is real, but the fruits are sweet.

I barely had a social life for two years at my party semi-target and am now living the best life. Stay on it and I will promise you it will pay off. Nothing like being sauced on a Saturday night typing a WSO post and knowing you shouldn’t even be doing anything else at this time.

To all of y’all that have made it, congratulations! Live it up and have the best degenerate two years of your lives.

Work hard play hard, and don’t do freaking TikTok.

To anybody that’s an underclassman trying to land an IB gig do NOT think you have to sacrifice your social life/friends/having fund to land a solid front office internship. If you take an hour studying a day for each day of the week and schedule 3-5 networking calls a week you can absolutely break in. Sacrificing your social life gives you nothing to talk about, you will regret not having got out and made memories and friends in college. Developing your social skills is crucial to having networking calls go well and converting your internship into a full time job offer.
