Series 7 in undergrad
Currently interning at a firm who will sponsor me to take the series 7 as a sophomore student. End goal is IB, so would it be worth it to take it? Or will the time I spend studying be better spent elsewhere?

the 7 is best suited for WM as it allows you to trade on behalf of someone else as their “registered representative” which means it holds little to no weight in IB because the job functions don’t include trading. If you really wanna hit the (albeit small) nugget down this path, looking towards the SIE then the 63. Neither need a sponsor and puts you in a position to sit for the 79 immediately
Thanks for the input. A firm will sponsor me for series 7, and 79, so do you think it would make more sense to just do SIE then 79, and skip 7 all together?
