Shake Shack Model help!
Hey guys, I’m working on a model for shake shack and I can’t seem to finish it. I notice that some of the items on the balance sheet is really hard for me to forecast, can anyone help me and take a look at it?

What line itmes are you struggling with?
Balance Sheet (Operating Lease Asset, Deferred Income Tax,Net)...current liability(Operating lease liabilities,current)....Long Term-Liability( Long term operating lease liabilities, Liabilities under tax receivable age, net current portion)....the equity portion include common stock A, common stock B, additional paid in-capital. last but not lease Non-controlling interests.
Do you even know what those accounts mean? I feel like you’re trying to build a model without sufficient knowledge of how accounting works just for the sake of modeling.
.
Is this for school or for work? If it's for work, most of the time you either project the very specific / minor B/S items as % of revenue of keep it flat (we often lump into "Other Current Liabilities or Other Current Assets". Often, it doesn't make a material difference.
it’s for personal project. I’m just practicing it. I’m also studying for my CFA. I’m trying to apply the material. thanks for the feed back! I also plan on apply for ER this year and IB.
