Career Resources
Solid shop that does pretty big deals out of a small outfit. Be ready to talk about software and have technicals down cold, but IME there is definitely strong emphasis on fit - they seem to try to weed out people not interested in software specifically
is this the only first round wave? is there going to be another wave?
Not sure
Have you heard back?
how did u apply. I didn't c anything on their site
Online. On the firm’s website
ANyone hear back from 1st rounds
unfortunately not
Is this for 2022? That might be a stupid question haha. I just didn't know boutiques recruited this early.
Nice to hear u think it’s still early. Makes me feel better lmao
Hahaha - early relative to boutiques I guess, right?
Anyone invited to superdays?
2nd rounds just came out though.
When are they scheduled to occur?
Anyone receive a Superday invite?
Bump
When is your SD scheduled for
Anyone have info on SF timeline? Assuming they're done, but would appreciate any insight.
SF office and Boston office runs the same process. The interns spend the summer at Boston and they are placed into SF office by the firm’s needs.
I look at Shea deals from the buyside and think very highly of them. If a resume from Shea came for a PE associate role, I'd definitely include them in the recruiting process.
Superdays out?
They were the first superday I ever had and completely bombed, but that was obviously on me. Personally I would still 100% work there.
They're very smart and as someone mentioned above, they want to know "why software" specifically. I have a couple friends who work there and they do a lot of work, mostly in a good way. I think last year they did over $1B in transactions and have like 12 bankers (Boston office). They also promote internally which I think is a huge benefit from a team standpoint (no random MBA associate who doesn't know anything on your team), and from a career standpoint if you think you want to stay in banking.
From a less important standpoint, they also have a great office location in Boston, though I'm sure plenty of New York bankers would scoff at it. You can see the whole Boston harbor and pretty much all the way to CT.
Was your SD from this cycle??
Nah I was a couple years ago
Anyone know where they're at with recruiting? I thought they ended late May/early June, but they just re-opened the app on my school's Handshake. Thanks
Has anyone heard back about the upcoming SD? Not sure if I'm dinged or not, had a 2nd round interview last week.
Was just about to ask on this thread haha, I had a 2nd round on Friday and haven't heard anything yet. Thought it went well too so I'd be bummed if I was dinged
Oh you're probably good then. My 2nd round was early last week. Let me know if you get anything and I'll do the same.
Will do

I reached out to HR to ask about the timeline and it seems SDs have gone out already
