Should I expose BB firms for Bullshit Hiring Practices?
Hey guys was wondering wtf you guys think I should do? I go to a decent school and was given an email by 2 BB firms notifying me in JULY that I was selected to interview. I followed up a few times over the past few months and never received a response. Should I out these jackasses to my school's OCR?
Normally I would come up with some elaborate scheme for you to plot revenge but I don't think you understand that the parties you've spoken to don't care.
The only positive outcome you can have is to forward your interview invitation(s) to a small number of trusted alumni and ask if they can help you check on your status internally.
Don't do anything else for your own sake.
This doesn't apply everywhere but some schools elect to have applications pre screened by their own staff after being received, but before a resume book from your school is submitted to a firm.
You could be an alternate or you could be fanning the wrong flames by "exposing" someone falsely.
Just try to get an insider to check your status instead.
Not really much you can do about this unfortunately. I don't see how telling OCR will help.
