Should I sign up for CFA® Level 2 with only 4 months left before D-Day?

I took Level 2 last June and failed miserably....band was below 5. I didn't read much during studying instead I stuck with watching videos and peppering that with some questions. Given that I only have 4 months to prep, should I take the exam again? Someone at work told me that failing Level 2 is almost normal, this lady is borderline brilliant and she failed Level 2 (she's a mechanical engineering background with a CPA, CFA®
and MBA and works in oil trading).

If do decide to sign up, I can't see myself reading all that text....no way in hell would I have the time nor the patience. I think studying the meat of topics along with a shit ton of questions would be a better plan. Any other suggestions?

Should I take this SOB again or just forget about and move on (will start an MBA at a very good school in the Fall)????

I either need motivation or someone to tell me to quit while I'm ahead.

I don't think you should be too worried about the 4 months - that's plenty of time if you really buckle down and have had some previous exposure to the concepts. I think you need to make a bigger decision about whether or not the CFA will benefit your career at all. Are you in AM/HF and/or is that where you want to be post-MBA? How much prior work experience do you have? Do you have commitments (wife/kids/etc) that would make studying impractical.
