Shyam Sankar @ Palantir - Crazy Smart?

Was watching a few of his interviews on YouTube (incl the one with Shawn Ryan) and it was absurd how smart this guy is. Just his vocabulary and the depth of how intelligently he was able to speak about many different topics was crazy. Does this stuff just come with experience? Curious on what other people think because I feel like im realizing that there are levels to this stuff lol.
