Sick of PPT decks... where to from here?

I’ve hit my breaking point with the endless deck turns and unnecessary wordsmithing of bullets over the last several years.

I am most interested in analytical and investment related work - what post-banking roles should I be considering that would realistically leave me with the least chance of being responsible for owning marketing materials?

Realize that more often than not if you land in a PE role you’ll be putting together investment committee decks but they can’t be as bad... right?

Exactly. And then add co-investor memos, lender materials, dd updates, exit decks, etc etc.

5 years into finance, I think I've created more slides/pages than the bible + encyclopedia combined lol

But clients (we) don't ever spend more than an hour reading a bank's CIM, so there really is zero point trying to put "analytical thought" into slides as a banker. TBH for banks, as far as making slides go, I think its more of a value-add (no matter how little) to format slides prettier and more reader-friendly than trying to add a worthless analysis (Exactly Analyst-1's point up here)
