signing bonus, what to do with it.
What should I do with signing bonus. Not at a bb so I get it early and it’s more than the typical 10k. Also in a low col city. Have a lot of cash saved up already and want to make it grow. Have a Roth IRA which I’ve maxed out for a few years and it’s been invested in some tech stocks, but will probably sell that before starting ft. Wondering what others are doing with their cash now. Don’t know what’s scarier, getting into the markets at all time highs during a pandemic or sitting in cash for the foreseeable future.

Personally, I used my signing bonus to have fun my final year of college
Just graduated and can't really travel much bc covid. I also have enough cash outside of the signing bonus to do whatever I wanted, so i'm really just trying to figure out whether or not I should invest it (and if so what in) or just hold off for some kind of a correction.
You say that, but airline tickets are cheap. Do it or you’ll regret it once you hit the desk cause life is going to be very different

I would throw it in to a etf or maybe a couple of individual stocks that you like. Not a wise decision to think that you're better off sitting on the sideline accumulating fomo when your investment horizon is decades long and you will go throw multiple sell offs and rebounds.
Should have mentioned this, but i'm also considering b school in 4-5 years. So another consideration is taking loans vs. paying out of pocket and a 20% correction would significantly impact my 5yr return if i jump in now. At least thats how i'm thinking about it
