Skills Building/Career Start

Hello. I'm a 2018 HYP graduate with a 3.7+ GPA in history. After pursuing a law school path that led me to [successfully] doing an unofficial clerkship at a legal services office and starting a JD degree, I decided to pursue a career in finance/business. I left school after a few months and after finishing the 8 month aforementioned internship. In college, I interned at a small sell-side M&A shop and within the strategy group of a F500. Then, I had first round OCR interviews with Citi ECM and DB DCM, which led to nothing. I'm mainly interested in ECM, but will consider M&A or even corporate banking depending on availability I realize that I have a choppy resume and a skills gap and have considered completing a corporate finance certificate that would give me basis business skills I lack. Is this a good option? How should I tackle the job search and learning process in front of me? Thanks!
