Sneak into Business Faculty?

If I am enrolled in BA economics / finance double honours (I just switched from science faculty: molec. biology), should I apply this year to switch into the same program (so to continue it) in the faculty of business so that I come out as B. Comm student with honours in finance and economics (instead of BA)? It seems finance is way better represented at IB than economics. I am at McGill in Canada, and I'm shooting for analyst at HF, IB, or PE/VC (pretty broad). Thanks.

Impressed you got into the Joint Honours program with a 2.8 in Bio first of all...

Second of all, as far as I know there are both Desautels Commerce kids and BA kids in the Joint Econ/Finance program so if (big IF) you can get top marks this year why wouldn't you apply to the B.Comm program? The transition would be fairly seamless (although you probs couldn't get into the HIM program at that point) and you'd be opening yourself up to a MUCH larger alumni base and OCR assistance. So ya, forget about WSO and worrying and the future, put the horse in front of the cart and get some decent marks. Then see what you can do.
