Thinking towards next summer, I was wondering if there are any advantages in interning in NYC at a boutique IB instead of doing so locally here on the west coast if my eventual goal is working in NYC. Networking with bankers would be a plus but at that point it seems most first rounds would have been given out so I'm not too sure if the extra cost would be worth it if I could get an boutique offer over there, thoughts?
