sophomore in IB recruiting process

hey im a sophomore from a lower semi target. been networking decent amount (300 ish emails, 35 ish calls?) but still have not landed an interview even. its so draining to see all these people post their BB offers on linkedin. am i cooked? i honestly think its wraps. i know some people consider it early, and that more apps will open, but arent those firms kind of small and hard to get into?

i honestly dont know if im cooked rn. yes its march but i feel like the fact that i havent gotten an interview says something and most of my apps have already rejected me.

also should i even be recruiting for a sophomore SA internship? i had an interview for a company but got rejected for this summer, not sure if i should focus on that? because if i dont get an official junior 2026 SA offer then id probably need one for this summer to show progression, so when should i deal with that??? need some guidance please its looking so cooked and im lost. ive been focusing on the main 2026 SA position but not sure when is the time to be switching priorities.

any advice helps thank you!

I’m also a sophomore but honestly I think the # of calls doesn’t really mean anything. How many people did you have truly rooting for you?

But yes, I would definitely find smth for this summer because it’s always good to work/learn/boost the resume. Keep going, there’s some small shops still open
