Sophomores, you look like idiots

Why the hell are you flexing your 2023 offers on LinkedIn without the successful completion of 2022?

Do you realize that you’re shooting yourself in the foot with your incoming internship by announcing your leaving before arriving? Do you not care about the quality and quantities of staffings and the overall level of investment that the team will place in you?

God forbid something happens to your 2023 offer, don’t you want to protect yourself? Stop being consumed with the desire to flex and actually think for a second why you think that it’s worth it at all.

Exactly why I did not to this. If you are working at any MM, BB, etc. before your big SA offer for Junior year they are expecting to return you.

I'm even worried about them pulling an offer if they hear about it before my start date haha.

I hate seeing those posts. Am interning at different shops for ‘22 and ‘23 and I wonder how someone is smart enough to get an EB or PE offer out of undergrad but dumb enough to not know to keep your lips sealed. If someone from your company asks, no use in lying, but don’t go advertising it. Just be quiet and be humble. Your time to flex will come.

You completely missed the point of the post.

There’s nothing wrong about adding “incoming xyz at ABC” on your resume. However, you should post on LinkedIn about Junior internships before you even started your summer one.
