How does recruiting from the big special sits shops (eg. BX tac opps, Ares special opportunities etc.) work generally coming from IB? Completely new to this and have become interested in opportunistic credit so not sure whether they participate in on cycle, recruit off cycle, or don’t hire as much from IB. For context, incoming FT at a top coverage group, but not sure if I would even get any looks not coming from RX/M&A.
