Career Resources
I hate interviewing so I know how it feels. But realize that they'll probably not ask you to pitch a stock. In fact, they'll be ok if you said "idk" if they do ask. Just tell them you're really interested and why, be a normal, easy person to converse with, be yourself and don't feel any pressure to lie or be more. They'll love you if you have a story and can present it well.
thanks for the response! what do you mean by a story?
It helps to start by just knowing your own experiences. Be able to explain what you like and dislike about your school, the classes you take, what you're doing when you are not in class, and what you think you will like about WM and why. What were your goals and motivations for doing those said things? Try to link things that you've done to a skill that you will use in wealth management. An example would be - you became an officer for your school's finance club, while taking 5 classes and working part-time at the campus book store, which helped you learn how to manage your time and prioritize responsibilities.
Definitely take a breath, it is important to stay cool in the interview. A big part of wealth management is sounding confident and having people skills, so I would say just have some basic market knowledge and form a story as to why you're excited for the internship and you'll do fine. Good luck!
thank you!
