Starting in IB / sell side vs buy side

For me I think the goal is to end up in the buy side, should I be focused on starting in Investment Banking or starting in the buy side? last summer I interned a $4 bn AUM family office, and this summer im working in a pension fund, Would it make more sense to take one of these for my junior year internship and possibly work there out of college? I think my end goal is to end up at a hedge fund as a progress in my career. I think the main question im trying to ask is how much will it benefit my career in buy side if I start in IB or equity research

Thank you for the replies in advance!
