I know this has been posted a bit in the past but it’s looking a bit more outdated. I was wondering if a math double major would qualify for STEM OPT. My school’s economics degree is a BA so I’m assuming that doesn’t count.

Ask your academic advisor for the CIP code of the major and see if that aligns with the STEM OPT accredited courses on the ICE website.
Pretty sure a math double major would qualify for STEM OPT — for context, I'm an international student and decided to double major in Finance + STEM because of the visa extension.
I did a BA in Economics and it qualified as STEM at my school. The Business degree at my school was also classified as STEM. It doesn't really matter what the subject is. Your school can choose classify certain subjects as STEM to help international students. Speak with an international student advisor and see which subjects are classified as STEM at your school.
