Stifel Nicolaus - Heard back from the company?
I had a superday with Stifel last Friday in New York and was wondering if anyone has heard back from them? Unfortunately, I am still waiting for a call.

They are doing interviews on Penn I believe and some other schools. The previous Superdays have already been decided.
I can't imagine any Penn students taken Stifel lol

You would be surprised. Many Wharton students are at Stifel. BB's are hiring very few now and with the Weisel and Miller Buckfire they are growing strong.

well this was last year's career survey, with a pretty high response rate
and not one Stifel
this year may be different, but just saying they can't be accepting in droves
Miller Buckfire has always been very strong in restructuring, I wouldn't compare them to Stifel ever

Stifel actually invested a ton of money into Miller, and may be in the process of purchasing the rest of Miller, to expand their banking platform.

Just because fresh graduates aren't going to Stifel doesn't mean alumni are not at Stifel. People bounce around, etc.
Just saying there are a bunch of Penn people there and the bank is moving more up market.
Oh, I'm not disagreeing with you on experienced hire movement; smaller banks hire away top talent all the time with incredible packages
And Stifel might even be in the running for Morgan Keegan... but I don't really have faith in the slipshod platform they're building. If they manage to put together a successful platform (hard to tell with Wiesel and MB at this point), then the BB guys they lure away might stay for more than 2 years.

They are having another superday in NY on the 21st and one in Baltimore on the 28th. Just had my first round phone interview. Anyone know how long until they invite you for a second phone interview?
