Stretegic Equity Transactions -- What is it??

I recently received an offer from a bank to join their Strategic Equity Capital Markets team as a "Strategic Equity Transaction Analyst". I'm a bit confused about the nature of the work, as it appears to be a very niche group, and I'm uncertain about what I will gain from this experience.

Could anyone share insights about this team or any experiences someone you know might have had? Additionally, I'm curious about the exit opportunities that this role may offer. Thank you!
