Stub bonus - Jan/Feb
For the firms that pay them, how much are they typically and how much is dependent on performance or are they fairly standardized given the minimal amount of time you've been with the company? Are there buckets like with your full year bonuses? If you perform mid/bottom are you written off or can you make it to the sweet top bonus come next year's full bonus season?
Bumping
MS, GS, UBS, Citi, CS, DB, Barc all pay stubs.
There tend not to be tiers for stubs, everyone gets the same number since your performance hasn't been proven yet.
$15-25k is what I've heard for stubs.
Is this for analysts or associates? I thought analysts just get the full year bonus in the summer...
Analysts.
My understanding is that at most banks associates hired in the summer will receive a stub bonus (35k sounds familiar) to put them on a regular employees January bonus cycle.
