Students - Pls Stop Networking this Early

Other analysts in my group and I (at EB) have received networking emails already, and all I can say is to stop sending emails this early. Early September is way too soon and we have zero insight into the process right now + can’t even log your call / recommend you for an interview this early. I’ve already told a few students to reach back out next month and later in the year, but wanted to make a post for more visibility. FYI, emailing this early doesn’t help you stand out from our POV, it only makes you look like a hardo. I know second year analysts who have been deleting any networking emails they’ve gotten over the last month. I know that most sophomores are probably stressed right now, but you guys need to chill out for at least a month.

What this guy said! I am running low on SBs hook a brother up?!?

I mean when you have banks moving a month early each year what do you expect? I think this is a sign that banks need to be more transparent on when they are going to drop apps or decide to be consistent. As usual it only hurts the junior bankers

Congrats on FTP (EB)! If u want to be a dick and not help someone out that’s fine, you don’t have to post it for “visibility”. You don’t want people to reach out right now then tell your hr department to move back recruiting. You’ll be on here crying about how slammed your inbox is with students reaching out in 2 months.
